“Haunted Underworld” @ Gargoyles Satuary
Join us and enter the macabre realm of the underworld. Danny’s fascination with ossuaries and charnel houses led him to his recent body of work. His travels to the catacombs under Paris and Palermo unearthed some very haunting images that will remain in the hidden recesses of your psyche…We have paired his subterranean photography with the dark, goetic paintings of Craig Luckenbach. Paintings of conjured entities contained in medieval grimoires. Craig channels these spirits from beyond to inspire his evocative work. This evening will be a chilling. chthonic experience… We are thrilled to be expanding the U District Art Walk on Oct 19. Begin the evening at the U Heights Center @ 5:30 pm for a glass of wine and see a vast array of local art all over this amazing historic building~ then head over to the Sock Shoppe’s Break Room Gallery and of course to our beautiful tribute to the dead!!! We will have a second reception with Daniel McManus on Oct. 26th where he will be revealing the stories behind his haunting photos!!!

UHeights is excited to become a part of the University District Art Walk that takes place on the Third Friday of every month.
We invite you to walk into UHeights and view the unique artwork of many different artists displayed throughout the building. Meet with some of the artists, enjoy melodious music and snack on food from fun food trucks! After visiting the great art exhibits at UHeights visit longtime participating venues Gargoyles Statuary, Sockshop University, Seven Market & Cafe, and Cafe Racer, University Heights Center, 5:30-9 pm, reception Seven Coffee Roasters & Cafe, open 6-8 pm |
