“Hood to Hood in the U District”
KEXP presents: “Hood to Hood in the U District!” Each year, KEXP descends upon the winning neighborhood of our annual Hood to Hood Challenge during our Spring Fundraising Drive, and this year, Seattle’s University District won decisively. To celebrate their victory, we are broadcasting live on Friday, April 19th, from the University of Washington’s Red Square as part of Husky Fest. Join us between 6:00am and 6:00pm as DJs John Richards, Cheryl Waters and Kevin Cole spin live and local bands perform all day long. Plus, you can enjoy discounts at local businesses and KEXP’s Community Partnerships Benefit show at Cafe Racer and much more! Here’s the lineup:

“Plumage” @ University Business Center
Each artist has their own way of interpreting their connection with birds in this mixed media exhibit. These 10 artists have skillfully brought to life the wonder of birds via photography, painting, glass, mixed media and fiber. If you have any fascination for birds, you don’t want to miss this collaborative exhibit. Participating Artists Refreshments on Friday, April 19th from 6-9pm. Showing at University Dist.
