"The Natural World" @ Chaco Canyon Cafe
Recent graduates of the University of Washington's certificate program “Natural Science Illustration” have come together to exhibit their work at Chaco Canyon Cafe. They find beauty in the natural world and are called to illustrate a vast array of animals and plants using both traditional and innovative techniques. "Memory Meets Imagination" @ Starbucks Coffee
The paintings of Juliya Ziskina
“Memory Meets Imagination” by Juliya Ziskina is an exhibit of paintings created with coffee that present stories relating places, events, characters, and objects. It is an attempt to create images that are at the intersection between figments of memory, and of imagination: fleeting scenes in motion. Each piece tells a story you may have seen or dreamed – from a mystical house deep in the woods, to a confrontation with a dragon. In the scenes, the details reveal the stories, while simultaneously raising more questions. Do our imaginations create reality, or does reality create our imaginations? We all imagine sublime storylines, and this exhibit asks us to do just that: keep them alive.

"Washington Through Old Lenses" The work of accomplished photographer, Rick Westcott
This exhibition features black and white images from across the state of Washington captured on film using vintage cameras. From the wild coast to the urban landscape to the rolling hills of the Palouse, these images explore the beauty that is our state and put forth the thesis that there is still worth to be found in old cameras - and in old photographers.
